Carnival
In November we spent a week learning about our local tradition of carnival night as part of our 'Big Write' week. We were visited by the 'Carnivals in Somerset Promotion Project' who told us all about the history of the local carnival. They brought along lots of colourful, fun costumes which we got to try on and dance to the music. We also went on their bus and watched a film about the carnival. Some of us made models of carnival floats too. At the end of a fun week, we shared our writing with our buddies in our GEMs groups. Take a look at the photos below...
