Ashcott Primary School

We are very lucky to have such an active and supportive PTA at Ashcott School. All parents who have children at the school are members of the PTA. We are a great team of people who work hard to organise community events and raise funds for the school, helping to provide quality resources and enrichment activities for the children that the school could not otherwise fund with their existing budget constraints. "One of the reasons I chose Ashcott School over other local schools was because of the amazing support that Ashcott School has from its PTA...I am very grateful for the opportunities that the PTA is giving my children, so thank you!" The PTA work together to organise various events throughout the year, raising thousands of pounds to buy equipment for the children to use in school. The major fund-raising events are the May 'Fun Day' which is held in the school grounds, the Christmas Bazaar, stewarding at the Glastonbury Festival, Glastonbury Carnival car park stewarding and the Ashcott Beer Fest - run jointly with the Playgroup and Playing Fields Committee.  We also organise regular cake sales and fun events for children such as 'film night' and 'family bingo'. All parents are very welcome to come along to every PTA meeting - see newsletters for dates and times of meetings.  Meetings are informal and fun and are usually held at the Ring O' Bells in Ashcott village.
